Creating a new Okra App Framework project

If you wish to create a new Okra App Framework project then the easiest route is to use the Visual Studio Extensions.

1. Start by downloading the Okra App Framework Visual Studio Extensions
2. From Visual Studio open the File menu and select New Project…
3. From the Templates section in the left hand panel open the Visual C# subsection and select OkraAppFramework
4. Choose one of the provided Okra templates,

• Blank App: A project for a single page Windows app using the Okra App Framework that has no predefined controls or layout.
• Grid App: A project for a three-page Windows app using the Okra App Framework that navigates among grouped items arranged in a grid. Dedicated pages display group and item details.
• Hub App: A project for a three-page Windows app using the Okra App Framework that uses a Hub control. Dedicated pages display group and item details.
• Split App: A project for a two-page Windows app using the Okra App Framework that navigates among grouped items. The first page allows group selection while the second displays an item list alongside details for the selected item.

5.Provide the requested project details and click OK
